CRC T2S Lab

Learn more about the Transition to Sustainability lab at the King’s University.

Who?

The CRC T2S Lab is a research hub located at The King’s University in Edmonton, AB (Canada) which does both empirical and theoretical research in the field of transitions to social-ecological sustainability (varyingly called also by other terms, such as social-ecological transformation, eco-social transitions, sustainability transitions, etc.) from a social science perspective.

The lab was formed by Canada Research Chair Dr. Adrian E. Beling in 2022. The lab currently hosts a team of three research assistants for the duration of the 2023-2024 academic year (find out more on the team page). Team members in the previous year have come from a wide range of disciplinary backgrounds such as psychology, environmental studies, and sociology. The lab accepts graduate and undergraduate students from any range of disciplinary backgrounds who display a passion for sustainability research, the ability to think and reason about complex issues surrounding social-ecological sustainability, and a proficiency/background in basic methods of academic research.

Funding

The research in the CRC T2S Lab is undertaken thanks to funding from the Canada Research Chairs Program and The King’s University, notwithstanding other/additional funding for discrete aspects of specific projects.
