Paulina Belby

Paulina Belbey holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations from Universidad Católica de Santa Fe, Argentina. She is a member of the CRC T2S team from King´s University that investigates the role of the Church as a socio-ecological transition agent. Also, she is a research assistant in a project from Universidad Católica de Santa Fe that researches possible sustainable alternatives to tackle the current global socio-ecological crisis. Her recent research addresses the potential of community gardens as socio-ecological transition devices that can counteract the unsustainable food system based on industrialization and thus contribute to the realization of socio-ecological rights linked to access, such as food or a healthy environment.

Having participated in volunteer programs and completed a Higher Diploma in Integral Ecology dictated by the Ecoceno Foundation has given her the means to understand, explain, and collaborate with the actions of global change necessary to advance a transition to sustainability. Her desire to promote sustainable practices and her research and writing led her to develop concrete actions in the local and international community. In the future, she expects to promote and influence the formulation and implementation of public policies and programmes between national and international corporations, local and national states authorities, and other actors, including church institutions.

Paulina resides with her family in Argentina. She has a great love for dogs and in her free time walks with them for hours. She also enjoys traveling and exploring the city and its surroundings, always looking out for good cuisine and abstract art.
